Your Path for Junior Field Estimator
As the Junior Field Estimator you will responsible for accurately taking measurements in the field, determining scope of work, and delivering that information to the team in a timely and organized manor. As you excel in the position you may also be trained on and tasked with doing bid take-offs/bid requests, presenting your findings to the project analyst.

What are my future opportunities? Once you have mastered the field estimating you will have the opportunity to grow into a project analyst, account manager. Within 2 years you will have the opportunity to become a Sr Estimator, Project Manager.

Junior Estimator Functions

  • Meet with on site contacts and gather information for sales team 

  • Taking and recording precise in field measurements for projects

  • Reviews architectural plans/documents and understands scope of work to bid.  

  • Gathers information and fearlessly asks questions of client, representatives, vendors, colleagues, and management when information is unclear.

  • Ensures all correct information is gathered (Construction Schedule, Timeline for Bid Selection, Timeline for Installation, Material, Decision Makers, etc.).

  • Builds long-lasting relationships with trade partners, general contractors, architects, vendors, and representatives.

  • Identifies and determines ALL scopes of work, as applicable to company offerings and services from take-offs

  • Gathers product data information, samples, and correct data required for submittals.

  • Inputs information into spread sheets, estimating/invoicing software, and prepares written proposals.

  • Relays and Informs managers of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or project.

  • Develops and maintains resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.

  • Attends pre-bid and sales meetings as required

  • Requests Bid Tab upon selection of Won/Lost projects.

Salary: 

$38,000 - $48,000 per year
